DMT supplies innovative instruments developed for the mining and exploration market. Among them there is the CoreScan product line, a tool for drill core digitalization, multi-sensor chemical and mineralogical drill core logging and classification into lithological domains, as well as our SlimBoreholeScanner, a flameproof ultra-slim optical borehole scanner for geotechnical inspection and monitoring of the mine rock mass from rock bolt holes.

The SBS is an ultra-slim optical borehole scanner with a diameter of only 23 mm for the rock mass inspection and characterization in underground mines and tunnels. Its lightweight and small-sized construction allows an easy application e.g. in anchor boreholes simply by hand. The explosion-proof, wireless and self-sustaining probe achieves high image resolution, which allows to determine parameters like discontinuity spacing, orientation, aperture, and degree of rock mass disintegration.
