For efficient operation, personnel, materials, and other loads must be transported quickly and safely – regardless of difficult conditions. These essentially include changing steep gradients, limited height, restricted space, dust, etc.

Scharf LEVliquid-cooled 90 kW electric motor with 655 Nm of torque, fed by a dielectric-washed 40 kWh battery, with a range of 220 km, will take you anywhere in your mine. And if that’s not enough, we have plenty more options for you.

Our Scharf chairlift system takes over the fast and safe passenger transport over longer distances with vertical curves in mineral mining. With max. transport speeds of up to 1.5 m/s, transport capacities of up to 900 persons/h are achieved, depending on the chair spacing. In addition to high efficiency, capacity and ergonomics, our chairlifts also have the advantage that miners can travel separately, which is an important benefit in the current pandemic situation.
