VULKAN portfolio to Industry and Energy sectors includes Flexible Couplings, Fluid Couplings, Rigid Couplings, Brake Systems, Rail Clamps, Backstops and Mounts, as well as driving tailored solutions.

At applications such as BELT CONVEYORS, STACKERS AND RECLAIMERS, our FLEXIBLE COUPLINGS are generally installed onto high speed shaft of the drive train and onto low speed shaft, between the gearbox and the pulley. While our BACKSTOPS AND BRAKE SYSTEMS are properly selected to withstand the most critical working conditions to which the conveyor will be subjected to.

And about applications such as CRUSHERS, MILLS, SEPARATORS AND AGITATORS, that are typical heavy duty machinery whose drives are characterized by shock loads and dynamic displacement of large masses with big inertias. FLUID COUPLINGS for soft starting of the machinery, GEAR COUPLINGS for low speed shaft applications and ELECTROHYDRAULIC SERVICE BRAKES are typical products used for these applications.

NEW FLEXOMAX GBNX COUPLING

This is the new FLEXOMAX GBNX coupling, with particularly easy installation and maintenance , that complements the traditional FLEXOMAX GBN line of flexible and torsionally elastic couplings for torque transmission. Its compact design makes it the ideal choice for application in limited spaces, connecting two shaft ends and compensating for axial, angular, and radial misalignment. Moreover, it absorbs impacts and vibration from the driven or drive machines.

NEW RAIL CLAMP - VCLAMP

VULKAN RAIL CLAMPS have been completely redesigned. This product line has innovations both conceptually and technologically in terms of materials, making the product more competitive and adding more digitalization. One of the main conceptual innovations has been modifications to the leverage system which is now by wedge, allowing a significant increase in the opening capacity (GAP) between the jaws and the rail.

The new line of Vulkan rail clamps — VCLAMP — meets the most critical applications and field conditions and is distinguished by the following:

  • An innovative drive concept using a wedge and rollers, adding more safety to the customer’s operations.

  • A market rail clamp with greater opening capacity (GAP) between the jaws and the rail.

  • A unified design: a rail clamp + an hydraulic unit in a single product, making it space-saving and easy to access for maintenance.

  • A modular and compact layout makes it a more competitive product, with just 3 sizes it can be used on 7different models: VCLAMP S (small), VCLAMP M (medium) and VCLAMP L (large).

  • Design with a focus on safety and ease of maintenance, side door with a lock, opening sensor, guide wheels with flanges, buoyancy systems and improvements to the jaw fixing unit.

  • The standard model already has digital sensor for monitoring the oil level and temperature, the hydraulic pressure and opening the equipment.

  • It can also be fitted with the following options: clamp open/closed status sensor, oil cleanliness and oil level, hand pump monitoring sensor and analogue sensors.

    All Vulkan rail clamps are tested on rails before being dispatched to the customer.

    Add more safety to the anchoring of Ship Loaders and Unloaders, Forklifts and Ore Reclaimers, Locomotives, Overhead Cranes and Gantries with the new VULKAN VCLAMP line.

NEW FLEXOMAX GBNX COUPLING WITH SPLIT HUB DESIGN

This is the new FLEXOMAX GBNX coupling, with particularly easy installation and maintenance , that complements the traditional FLEXOMAX GBN line of flexible and torsionally elastic couplings for torque transmission. Its compact design makes it the ideal choice for application in limited spaces, connecting two shaft ends and compensating for axial, angular, and radial misalignment. Moreover, it absorbs impacts and vibration from the driven or drive machines.

Features of the new FLEXOMAX GBNX:

  • Split outer ring, making replacement of the elastic element easier.

  • Modular design: split hub, fastened with inner bolts, resulting in lighter sections. This allows easier and safer lifting of parts.

  • Easy to install: the new hub design, featuring a shaft-bore sliding fit, makes additional equipment unnecessary, for instance, for heating the hub.

  • Easy maintenance: the modular design and the sliding fit allow hub disassembly in the installation site: machine displacement is unnecessary and additional equipment, such pulley pullers, are not required.

  • Torque transmission is ensured by the insertion of transmission pins between the hubs.

  • Additional locking device, for axial blockage of the assembly.
